Child and family support
Hello, I’m Mrs Brady, and I’m proud to be the Child and Family Support Worker and Deputy Safeguarding Lead here at St Andrews. As a mum of three, I understand the challenges families face and the importance of having someone to turn to for support. Supporting children and their families is something I’m incredibly passionate about.
My role is all about ensuring that every child feels happy, safe, and ready to thrive. I work closely with Mrs Kendall, our SENCo, as well as a range of external professionals, including our Early Help Co-ordinator, the local authority, school nurses, educational welfare officers, social workers, and local charities. Together, we strive to give every child the best possible opportunities and start in life.
As Deputy Safeguarding Lead, I take the safety and wellbeing of our children very seriously, and I work to ensure that all concerns are handled with care, sensitivity, and in line with safeguarding procedures.
I also provide daily interventions in school, supporting children’s social, emotional, and mental health. I’ve received training in nurture-based approaches, which help children build their confidence, develop healthy relationships, and understand their emotions.
Alongside my role in school, I’m currently studying for a degree in Early Childhood to continue building my knowledge and understanding of how best to support the families in our community.
I work Monday to Thursday and am always here to help. If you or your child need support or just someone to talk to, please don’t hesitate to reach out – my door is always open.
